Description
Philodendron hederaceum (formerly Philodendron scandens) | Heartleaf Philodendron ‘Lemon Lime’
Philodendron hederaceum Heartleaf Philodendron ‘Lemon Lime’ is also called Sweetheart Vine, Golden Brazil, Lemon Lime Plant, and is often incorrectly labeled and sold as Philodendron domesticum or Philodendron cordatum ‘Lemon Lime’. It’s a beautiful and brighter cultivar of the classic Heartleaf Philodendron. New leaves emerge an electric pinkish-yellow, then develop into a deep lemon color, and finally to a lime-green as they mature, with large plants having pops of yellow among a sea of green. The more light exposure, the brighter the yellow will be.
Tolerant of a wide range of light conditions, this trailing vine is a prolific grower, producing long cascading vines that can easily reach the floor given enough time. Like its close relative, the standard green Heartleaf Philodendron, Philodendron ‘Lemon Lime’ is extremely easy to grow. A perfect plant for hanging baskets trained up a trellis. It will produce impressive sized foliage if it roots into a moss tower.
