Easy to grow, quick to mature. Tolerates poor soil and appreciates filtered shade. Will flower all summer long; for the best blooms, do not over-water. Will reseed itself.<\/p>\n<p>Direct-sow seeds in fall or early spring in the front of the garden beds, or start indoors. Germinates easily.<\/p>\n<p>Attracts some beneficial insects and repels a couple of the bad ones. Calendula flowers are edible and taste great in salads.
