This plant grows as a rosette of deeply-cut leaves the first year and then come the second year, it turns into a botanical marvel, reaching 6-8 ft tall with long, wiry stems and pale-yellow pincushion-type blooms that sway in the breeze.<\/p>\n<p>Giant Scabious, because of open, branched stems, it has an airy and open appearance (much like <em>Verbena bonariensis),<\/em> which gives it an informal look making it a wonderful plant for the back of the border, a mixed border, or for filling in a corner of the garden.<\/p>\n<p>Will rebloom a second time late in the season if dead-headed.
