The young lanceolate, tooth-lobed leaves have a weak woolly indumentum while the mature leaves are glabrous and up to 3 ft long arch out from palm-like, stout, branching trunks with sunny bunches of 2 inch yellow flowers that burst out from the canopy in spring and summer.<\/p>\n<p>Grows well in full sun or part shade, regular or low water, and average, rich and well-drained soil. Plant in compost-enriched soil for the biggest show.
