The flower buds are unique because they resemble mini roses before opening up to reveal their bright-yellow dandelion-type flowers. The lobed leaves are tomentous, giving them a unique look, plus a thick, succulent stem that exudes a milky sap when damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The native range is Canary Islands (Gran Canaria), where it grows primarily in a subtropical climate. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
