As she disappeared, he tossed the bouquet to his lady with the immortal words, &#8220;Forget me not.&#8221;&#8230;making it one of the all-time world favorites among wildflowers used at funerals.<\/p>\n<p>Alpine Forget-Me-Nots are an herbaceous, dainty perennial with a mounded form. Tiny 5-petaled pink flowers with yellow centers bloom in early summer. The flowers are essentially identical to the true forget-me-not, but alpine forget-me-nots are borne on shorter stalks (about 6 inches high).<\/p>\n<p>Grows in full sun to part shade and prefers to be in moist conditions in woodlands and rock formations. It is not particular as to soil type or pH.<\/p>\n<p id=\"NetPS-PlantLAPara3\">Recommended for mass planting, edging borders, ground cover, general garden use and naturalizing woodland gardens.
