True to their name, Rain Lilies burst into flower a couple days after a summer thunderstorm ends a period of dryer weather where &#8216;Sunset Strain&#8217; sends up beautiful pinkish-orange flowers with yellow center that appear to glow in sunlight and\u00a0bloom from mid-spring to early fall. It is said to be a stable hybrid that grows true from seed.<\/p>\n<p>They are popular in borders, rock gardens, and containers, thriving in sun to partial shade and are not <span id=\"readmore-32392\">particular about soil conditions.<\/span>. In time, they form a strong patch of foliage, multiplying both by bulb offsets and by seeds (sometimes into the lawn).
