Buddleja racemosa | Wand Butterfly Bush
Wand Butterfly Bush, also called Texas Butterfly Bush, is a small, lax, dioecious shrub endemic to the southern edge of the Edwards Plateau in the state of Texas where it grows around streams, creeks and springs.
Buddleja racemosa is has greyish-brown rimose bark and persistent old branches covered with tiny, felted, ovate-oblong silver leaves and silvery racemes of pale yellow inflorescences comprised of numerous pairs of small globose heads throughout the warm seasons.
Grows in full sun in sharply drained, sandy/gravely soils. Does not like wet conditions. Works great to for plant in a crevice garden or on top of a rock wall where it can be enjoyed as it cascades down.
