B. ‘Longstock Pride’ x B. crispa | Butterfly Bush ‘Hawkmoth’
‘Hawk Moth’ Butterfly Bush is a new and rare Buddleja hybrid that was developed by Peter Moore in England in 2020. It’s a bushy shrub up to 5 ft wide and tall with pale green, arrow-shaped leaves and flowers in late summer, sporting beautiful lilac-pink to lavender flowers on loose panicles.
Grows best in full sun in a somewhat sheltered position in sharply drained, sandy/gravely soils. Due to the B. crispa in the parentage, it does not like overly wet conditions and may benefit from a partially protected spot.
