Description
Buddleja/Buddleia hybrid  | ‘Peach Cobbler‘ Butterfly Bush (B. weyeriana ‘Sungold’ x B. davidii ‘Pink Pagoda’)
‘Peach Cobbler’ Butterfly Bush is a Butterfly Bush cross bred by renowned plantsman and hybridizer Peter Podaras. It’s a confirmed sterile cultivar noted for its sterile, non-invasive qualities, its sweet fragrance, and showy panicles of bright peach-pink flowers that seem to glow in the sun. And since the flowers don’t set seed, the bloom period is prolonged!
Plants grow best in full to part sun in well drained soil, with regular water and fertilizer. Easy to grow and hardy. Drought tolerant. Once established, a mature plant can reach around 6-8 ft in height and 5-6 ft wide. For the best shape, look, and performance, we always recommend a hard-prune down to your knees in April. Come winter, we semi prune to reduce the plants height to prevent wind rocking of the plant/roots.
Since Buddleja ‘Peach Cobbler’ does not set seed, it is NOT invasive and is listed on the ‘Approved Buddleja Cultivars’ list for sale in WA and OR.
