Buddleja weyereiana ‘Sungold’ x Buddleja ‘Pink Delight’ | ‘Pink Pagoda‘ Butterfly Bush
‘Pink Pagoda’ Butterfly Bush was created in 1994 by Peter Moore and trialed by Blooms of Bressingham for 10 years before making its way over to the US. It’s a beautiful hybrid cross between Buddleja weyeriana ‘Sungold’ and Buddleja davidii ‘Pink Delight’. It is a sterile plant and does not set seed so its beautiful delicate-pink spherical blooms will flower again when dead-headed!
Easy to grow. For the best shape, look, and performance, we always recommend a hard-prune down to your knees in April. Come winter, we semi prune to reduce the plants height to prevent wind rocking of the plant/roots.
The blooms are lightly aromatic and attract pollinators.
Prefers full sun, but can benefit from some shade in the hottest months. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in drained soils.
