Description
Aquilegia flabelatta | Fan Columbine ‘Nana Alba’
‘Nana Alba’ Fan Columbine, also called Fan-leaved Columbine and Dwarf Columbine, is a short-lived, compact and dainty, diminutive and cute, perennial Columbine variety. Plants reach only a few inches tall with short, incurved spurs, pure-white (with a touch of yellow), waxy, nodding flowers, and fan-like, deeply-cut, lacy foliage. Blooms from April to June. Very cute and special Columbine plant.
An elegant shade plant that thrives in moist, well-drained soil.. It can handle some morning sun, but may require shade in the afternoon. ‘Nana Alba’ Fan Columbine makes an excellent plant for edging, rock gardens, or to add color and texture to a woodland area.
Allow plants to self seed for successive generations.
Deer don’t particularly care for Columbine and will usually leave them alone for other treats.
