Description
Nigella damascena | Love-in-mist ‘Cramers Plum’ (white)
Love-in-a-Mist, also known as Black Cumin, Black Caraway, Love-in-a-Puzzle, Devil-in-a-Bush, Hair of Venus, and Raggedy Lady, is a hardy cool-season annual with fine textured lacy foliage with beautiful white star-like flowers at the end of each branch. Love-in-a-Mist has been grown in flower gardens since the late 16th century. An old standard that is still among the very finest late-spring flowering plants. Adds interest to the front of a border garden and to dried flower arrangements.
This variety, ‘Cramers Plum’ is a modern classic Nigella bred especially for (and named after) the stripeless plum-purple seedpods that are used in dried arrangements.)
