‘Chestnut Leaf’ Butterfly Bush is a new and extremely rare Buddleja variety that was bred by Peter Moore in England in 2020 where only one single seed germinated. ‘Chestnut Leaf’ is a bushy shrub up to 5 ft tall and wide with pale green, arrow-shaped leaves. It has yet to flower.
Grows best in full sun in well-drained, sandy or gravely soils. Due to the B. agathosma in the parentage, it does not like overly wet conditions and could also benefit from a somewhat sheltered position.
