Description
Dracaena trifasciata (formerly Sanseviera trifasciata) | ‘Ghost’ Snake Plant
Snake Plant, also commonly called Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, Devil’s Tongue, Viper’s Bowstring Hemp, African Bowstring Hemp, Saint Georges Sword, and African Spear Plant, is a hardy houseplant known for its air-purifying qualities (removing toxins like formaldehyde, benzene), and its ability to tolerate drought and low light.
The ‘Ghost’ is a low-maintenance variety with striking variegated cream and silver, green-edged sword-like leaves, making it the perfect natural accent for modern decor, plus it’s drought-tolerant and low-maintenance too, so is great for beginners.
Plants grow best indoors in bright, indirect light with infrequent waterings in well-draining soil. These are adaptable plants and thrive on neglect, so should only be watered only when the soil is completely dry, often monthly in the cooler months, with warmer weather requiring more water. Prefers warm temperatures 60-85°F.
A great plant for beginners or anyone who says they kill every plant.
