Velvet Leaf Philodendron, also known as Philodendron Micans, is a naturally occurring, climbing or trailing classic variety that was first discovered in 1760 and today is one of the most notable and commonly Philodendron vines on the market. However, this variegated variety is extremely rare to find. We imported ours from Malaysia.
The plants are characterized by their beautiful variegated leaves which start as a chartreuse-color when fresh and then unfurl and take on a tri-colors of green, yellow, and pinkish-orange patterns. The leaves are alternately spaced along thin, long trailing vines. No two leaves are the same.
Easy to grow and produces long cascading vines that grow pretty quickly. This is the perfect, rarely seen plant to show off to your plant-loving friends. Great for hanging baskets or trained up a trellis. Will grow quicker when it roots into a moss tower.
