Buddleja tucumanensis | Tucumanensis Butterfly Bush
Tucumanensis Butterfly Bush is a hard-to-find semi-evergreen Butterfly Bush native to Argentina and Bolivia at high elevations (9000 ft). Dark-green spear-shaped elliptical leaves with silvery-grey downy undersides and stems. Rounded loose clusters of fuzzy buds start to form along the branches, becoming spherical orange flowers that bloom through spring, summer, and fall.
Grows best in full sun in well drained soils. Drought tolerant, but will drink plenty of water during the hottest months if watered regularly. Will tolerate some shade. Attracts pollinators of all sorts. Many medicinal uses.
