Description
Anthemis cretica ssp. anatolica | Cretian Mat Chamomile
Cretian Mat Chamomile, also known as Cretian Daisy, May Daisy or Cock Daisy, is an extremely rare perennial flowering herb native to the dry, stony slopes of Sultan Dag, on the western edge of the Anatolian Plateau, Turkey.
Shortly rhizomatous grey cushions of pinnate leaves and bright yellow globular-shaped flower heads that look as if they’re floating above the plants.
Anthemis cretica ssp. anatolica grows in well-drained soil, including poor soils with low nutrients. Plants can withstand drought, but regular watering in hot dry weather will ensure rapid growth and abundant blooms. Low maintenance. There is very little info on this plant variety.
