Dwarf Lupine, also known as Sky Lupine and Hartwegs Lupine- ‘Pixie Delight’ is an annual Lupine native to mexico with blooms that produce pale colored blooms in a plethora of colors, including blue, pink, white & violet from early summer through fall. The flowers are nectar and pollen rich and radiate a fresh citrus scent that lures bumblebees and butterflies. Attracts bumblebees and butterflies. The attractive green foliage will reach a mature height of only 12 to 18 inches tall. The plants form erect stems that often times branch outwards, producing multiple blooms on one plant.
Lupine seeds can be planted in just about any region and any climate. For best results, grow in full sun in moist, but well-drained soil. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage repeat-blooms. Low maintenance. Start from seed in winter or early spring. Will self-sow. Protect young plants from slugs and snails. Deer and rabbit resistant.
