Anthemis cretica ssp. anatolica | Mat Chamomile
Cretian Mat Chamomile, also known as Crtian Daisy, May Daisy or Cock Daisy, is an extremely rare perennial flowering herb native to the dry, stony slopes of Sultan Dag, on the western edge of the Anatolian Plateau, Turkey.
Shortly rhizomatous grey cushions of pinnate leaves with with bright yellow globular flower heads that look as if they’re floating above the plants.
Anthemis cretica ssp. anatolica grow in well-drained soil, including poor soils with low nutrients/ Plants can withstand drought, but regular watering in hot dry weather will ensure rapid growth and abundant blooms. Low maintenance. There is very little info on this plant variety.
